An external lightning protection system is designed to safely conduct and dissipate the energy from a lightning strike into the ground. Without the system in place, a building’s structure, electrical systems, and the people inside or around it are at significant risk.
Lightning strikes can cause a range of damages, including fires, explosions or mechanical failures within or near a building. Additionally, step and touch voltages from a lightning strike can result in serious injury or even fatalities.
